The drill body is made of heat-treated stainless steel. The brazed insert is made of sintered carbide with high wear resistance. The solder used has a melting point of 920 °C. The drills are designed for drilling precise holes in heat-treated steels with a hardness of up to 40 HRC and in other less machinable materials.
