GCE is a leading European company in the field of production and sale of equipment for the use of technical and special gases. The headquarters of the company is located in Malmo, Sweden, the main production plant is in Chotěbor in the Czech Republic. Sales offices are located in 14 locations around the world and cover practically the entire world. Almost 900 employees currently work in these production and business units. The business is divided into four basic areas: cutting and welding, process applications, medical technology and equipment for the use of high-purity gases. The GCE company continues the long-standing tradition in Chotěbor of manufacturing equipment for the use of technical gases dating back to 1936, when the Eckhardt company began to deal with this activity. In later times, these goods were supplied to the market by Chotěbořské strojírny, whose division in the early nineties of the last century created the Autogen plant. In August 1993, one of the most important European companies in this field - GCE group - enters into business in the Czech Republic and buys 100% of the share of Autogen, creating the current form of the company.
