Why was the Czech Product trademark created?
They say that Czechs have “golden hands”. And we have a lot of evidence from the past that this statement is true. Czech inventions, such as Diviš’s lightning rod, Ressl’s propeller, Křižík’s arc lamp or Wichterle’s contact lenses, changed the world. Let’s not forget – even inconspicuous products such as a „verzatilka“ - a mechanical pencil or a „remoska“ - an electric oven have conquered foreign markets.
The Czechs are simply an inventive, enterprising and hardworking nation.
And we are rightly proud of all those who try to do business in the Czech Republic honestly, with love and with the desire to create new things.
However, pride alone cannot do everything. That is why the Foundation for the Support of Czech Products was established on January 25, 1994, which was transformed on February 1, 1999 into the Czech Product Foundation, the purpose of which is to support small, medium and large Czech businesses and companies across all sectors. The aim is to inform consumers about Czech products and thus increase interest in these products.
