Spindle wipers

Spindle wipers are used to clean and maintain internal tapers/taper holes on machine spindles, especially CNC machines. Their main purpose is to remove dirt, dust, oil or other deposits that could negatively affect the accuracy and functionality of the spindle. Proper care of the spindle extends its life and ensures reliable operation of the machine. Regular cleaning protects the spindle from wear and ensures proper contact between the spindle and the tool (e.g. chuck).

Features of spindle wipers:
Wipers are often made of non-woven fabrics, microfiber or soft, non-abrasive materials to avoid scratching the surface of the spindle.
They are designed to match the shape and size of a particular spindle.
Both single-use and cleanable and reusable versions are available.

Types of spindle wipers:
By size - different diameters corresponding to the size of taper spindles (e.g. ISO, BT, HSK).
By material:
Non-woven fabrics: Soft, will not scratch the surface.
Microfiber: Absorbs grease and oil residue.
Combination with abrasive: For removing harder deposits.

Use:
- before cleaning, switch off the machine and ensure safety conditions.
- apply a suitable cleaning agent (as recommended by the machine manufacturer) to the wiper or directly to the spindle.
- gently wipe the surface of the spindle to remove any dirt.
- after cleaning, wipe the spindle with a dry wiper so that no moisture remains.

Important tips:
Use wipers regularly (recommended frequency depends on machine load).
Follow the instructions of the machine and wiper manufacturer.
Never use abrasive materials that could damage the surface of the spindle.
