Abrasive pastes

Abrasive pastes are special abrasive mixtures intended for manual or machine polishing and grinding of surfaces. They are used to remove scratches, unevenness or to achieve a high gloss on various materials such as metal, glass, plastic, wood or stone. They contain mild abrasives and cleaning agents that remove scratches, oxidation or tarnishing. Pastes are divided into different types according to use and degree of coarseness.

The main types of abrasive pastes:
1. Coarse abrasive pastes
- They are used to remove larger irregularities and rough scratches.
- They contain larger abrasive particles.
2. Polishing pastes
- Designed for the final treatment of surfaces to obtain a smooth and shiny appearance.
- They contain finer abrasive particles.
3. Special pastes
- For example for glass, ceramics or lacquered surfaces.
- They often contain chemical additives to increase effectiveness.

Examples of use:
Restoring the shine of car paints.
Sharpening of knives and tools.
Polishing jewelry or watches.
Treatment of glass surfaces or optics.

Use:
1. Surface preparation: The surface should be clean and dry.
2. Applying the paste: It is applied manually (with a cloth or sponge) or using grinding and polishing machines. A paste is applied to the spinning felt wheel by friction, it is then stretched into the wheel and can then be polished.
3. Gradual grinding: It starts with a coarser paste and gradually moves to a finer one, until the desired result is achieved.
4. Cleaning: After finishing the work, the paste residues are removed with water or a cleaning agent. If two pastes are used, it is not a good idea to apply them to an already used wheel. It is better to put a new wheel or "turn" the existing one while running with a knife to remove approx. 1 cm of the wheel where the old paste is.

Medium-oily paste for finishing, polishing and second step of grinding. Used with cotton and felt discs.

Abrasive paste for polishing metal surfaces - pink, weight 900g
Medium-oily paste suitable for polishing and brightening with a cloth in the second step of grinding and during polishing.
Use: brass, silver, aluminum, chrome, zamak.

IM-12-PAVE
Abrasive paste for final polishing of stainless steel - green, weight 900g
A medium-oily paste suitable for use together with sisal for finishing.
Application: stainless steel.
